The Search For Excessive Sweating Remedies Is Not An Easy One… Or Is It?

The Search For Excessive Sweating Remedies Is Not An Easy One… Or Is It?

Most of us use the phrase ‘building up a good sweat’ in the most jovial and the most positive overtones. However, this phrase is nothing more than a cruel joke for those who suffer from the problem of hyperhidrosis and those who are searching for excessive sweating remedies.

As a result of this disorder, people find themselves sweating in the most unlikely places. Even in cool air-conditioned rooms, they find streams of sweat pouring down their face, arms, underarms, palms, feet, neck, thighs and even the genitals. The clothes get drenched in sweat and no amount of showering, resting and relaxing prevents the sweat from breaking out again.

If you are facing this problem, do not lose hope and give up on your efforts to find excessive sweating remedies.

Before beginning your search for remedies, find out whether the excessive sweating is a medical condition in itself (primary hyperhidrosis) or is the result of any other medical condition or medication (secondary hyperhidrosis). The remedies shall differ depending on whether your condition is primary or secondary hyperhidrosis.

If you are indeed suffering from hyperhidrosis and not from any other disorder, then do keep in mind that you cannot use just any excessive sweating remedies. Special remedies are available for you and you must use those remedies only.

Visit a doctor and get some antiperspirants

Excessive sweating can be reduced by using antiperspirants which have 20-25% aluminum chloride hexahydrate. This remedy is not very effective and is notorious for the many side effects that it causes. One thing that works in favor of this remedy is that it is not very expensive.

Why don’t you try Iontophoresis?

Iontophoresis involves giving mild electric currents to the patient with the help of a battery-operated device. The operative word is ‘mild’ as the main purpose of this remedy is to manipulate the nerves to reduce excessive sweating. This treatment is effective but is, at best, temporary in nature. You will have to have multiple sessions and there is no guarantee that the remedy will work every time. Further, this remedy is not inexpensive.

Want to try Botox Injections?

Botox has been effective in plugging up the sweat pores and is used by celebrities and teens to prevent sweating at the wrong time. While many people are not comfortable with botox, there is no doubt that injecting botox directly into the part which sweats does help in reducing excessive sweat.

This remedy is effective but is very expensive. Further, multiple sessions are required.

Well there always is Surgery

This invasive remedy for excessive sweating is best left as the last resort. Surgery is used to destroy or remove a portion of the main sympathetic nerve. This is a permanent cure. However, it is expensive, risky and does not rectify the root cause of the problem.

Think out of the box

Rather than focusing on excessive sweating remedies, determine the problem that is causing the excessive sweating and try to solve that problem. Try not to panic when the sweating attack begins. Avoid mistakes which worsen the problem and make you even more vulnerable.

For such out of the box remedies that are not only effective and permanent but also inexpensive and free of risk, visit preventsweating and check out the solution of excessive sweating problem.
